Even though the costs for books are high, nursing students pay the most money for their books and supplies, thus making their major cost more.
In their first semester "they buy something like 15 or 16 books, and then after that during the second semester it drops down to four, third semester there's two or three, and then the fourth semester they don't have to buy any. They use all the books, all four semesters," Guy said.
A nursing student may have to buy a ton of books initially as well as purchase many more books and supplies throughout the remainder of the semester, what they gain in the end is a career that can help them make back the money they had to invest up front and more.
